12 New NESTcc Evidence Test Cases

The National Evaluation System for health Technology Coordinating Center (NESTcc) says it is opening 12 new test cases to leverage real-world evidence and address key priorities for medical device stakeholders. A NESTcc statement says the test cases are intended to accelerate the organization’s progress and provide proof of concept for its ability to generate high-quality real-world evidence for a range of medical devices through the NESTcc data network.

NESTcc says it received 40 concept submissions from 26 organizations including health systems, government entities, medical device manufacturers, non-profits, and academic institutions. The test cases will be executed through collaborations between the NESTcc network collaborators and the organizations that submitted the concepts for project development. The cases are said to span the medical device total product lifecycle and to include projects having regulatory and coverage applications.
