3 Observations in East Marietta FDA-483

FDA has released the FDA-483 issued following a 6/19-6/23 inspection at East Marietta Drug Company, Marietta, GA, a producer of non-sterile drug products. The three inspection observations on the form were:

production of highly potent drugs without providing adequate cleaning of work surfaces to prevent cross-contamination;
failure of personnel to disinfect and change gloves frequently enough to prevent contamination; and
non-microbial contamination observed in production area.
