# 4 New ICH Groups Moving Ahead

The International Council for Harmonization (ICH) approved concept papers and business plans for three new informal working groups and a new discussion group at the ICH meeting 11/10-11/15 in Charlotte, NC. A media [release](https://www.ich.org/fileadmin/Public%5FWeb%5FSite/News%5Froom/B-Press%5FReleases/ICH%5FPress%5FReleases/ICH37Charlotte%5FPressRelease%5F2018%5F1123%5FFinal.pdf?ref=fdaweb.com) on the meeting says the new working groups are on analytical procedure development, continuous manufacturing, and clinical electronic structured harmonized protocol, while the discussion group is on clinical and non-clinical evaluation of QT/QTc interval prolongation.

Work on two topics adopted at the June meeting — Work on Adaptive Clinical Trials and Drug Interaction Studies — is expected to get underway in mid-2019.
