4 New ICH Groups Moving Ahead

The International Council for Harmonization (ICH) approved concept papers and business plans for three new informal working groups and a new discussion group at the ICH meeting 11/10-11/15 in Charlotte, NC. A media release on the meeting says the new working groups are on analytical procedure development, continuous manufacturing, and clinical electronic structured harmonized protocol, while the discussion group is on clinical and non-clinical evaluation of QT/QTc interval prolongation.

Work on two topics adopted at the June meeting — Work on Adaptive Clinical Trials and Drug Interaction Studies — is expected to get underway in mid-2019.
