# 410 Medical Gains Expanded Use for LifeFlow

FDA has cleared a 410 Medical 510(k) for its LifeFlow device for rapid delivery of blood and blood components, in addition to its previous clearances for crystalloid and colloid resuscitative fluids. The device is intended for treating severe hemorrhage, which is a leading cause of preventable death from trauma and other causes of life-threatening bleeding, the company says. A typical trained user is able to infuse fluids with LifeFlow at almost four times the rate of infusion with a pressure bag, it adds.
