# 7 Combination Product Guidances on the Way

FDA Office of Combination Products director **Thinh Nguyen** says seven priority guidances are in the clearance process and should be published in the first quarter of 2023\. Speaking at the Combination Products Summit 2022, Nguyen [said](https://www.raps.org/news-and-articles/news-articles/2022/11/fda-combination-products-chief-eyes-new-guidances?ref=fdaweb.com) the guidances address:

- human factors for combination products (final guidance);
- essential performance requirement: established conditions and combination products (draft guidance);
- technical considerations for demonstrating the reliability of emergency-use injectors (final);
- combined use/cross-labeled combination products (draft);
- postmarket changes to combination products (draft);
- unique device identifiers and combination products (draft); and
- labeling considerations for insulin pumps.
