7 Combination Product Guidances on the Way

FDA Office of Combination Products director Thinh Nguyen says seven priority guidances are in the clearance process and should be published in the first quarter of 2023. Speaking at the Combination Products Summit 2022, Nguyen said the guidances address:

human factors for combination products (final guidance);
essential performance requirement: established conditions and combination products (draft guidance);
technical considerations for demonstrating the reliability of emergency-use injectors (final);
combined use/cross-labeled combination products (draft);
postmarket changes to combination products (draft);
unique device identifiers and combination products (draft); and
labeling considerations for insulin pumps.
