# AAM Praises Controlled Correspondence Guidance

The Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM) says it appreciates FDA efforts to promptly revise a 2020 guidance to implement new commitments regarding controlled correspondence in the commitment letter authorizing GDUFA renewal. The association’s [letter](https://downloads.regulations.gov/FDA-2014-D-1167-0026/attachment%5F1.pdf?ref=fdaweb.com) says the revised draft guidance “continues to provide useful information about what FDA will and will not consider to be controlled correspondence, the process for submitting controlled correspondence and how FDA will respond, and specific recommendations regarding various types of controlled correspondence.”
