AbbVie, Genmab Contacting Regulators on Cancer Drug

AbbVie and Genmab say they plan to engage global regulatory authorities based on topline results from the EPCORE Phase 1/2 trial of epcoritamab in patients with relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma. An AbbVie statement says the topline results demonstrated a confirmed overall response rate of 63.1% with an observed median duration of response of 12 months.

Epcoritamab is described as an investigational IgG1 bispecific antibody created using Genmab’s proprietary DuoBody technology. The companies say epcoritamab is designed to simultaneously bind to CD3 on T cells and CD20 on B-cells and induces T-cell mediated killing of lymphoma B cells.
