Accelerate Sustainable Capability Pilot Volunteers Sought

FDA says the Medical Device Innovation Consortium is seeking medical device manufacturers to participate in an Accelerate Sustainable Capability (ASC) pilot study that was developed in collaboration with the medical device industry, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, and FDA. An agency notice says the pilot study is intended to serve as a way to help manufacturers improve performance and compliance. The notice covers the purpose of the study, the benefits of participating, who can participate, and how to apply for the study.

“The MDIC’s ASC pilot study is designed to serve as a way to help manufacturers improve performance and compliance,” the notice says. “FDA’s participation in the pilot is an example of continued efforts to help ensure patients and healthcare providers have access to safe and effective high-quality medical devices.”
