Activ Surgical Interoperative Imager Cleared

FDA has cleared an Activ Surgical 510(k) for the ActivSight Intraoperative Imaging Module for enhanced surgical visualization. The module has been designed to provide surgeons real-time intraoperative visual data and imaging not currently available through existing technologies, the company says.

The imaging module will also power the company’s next product, ActivInsights, which will use artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to produce surgical insights, Activ says. The first ActivInsight will provide perfusion insights to see blood flow and perfusion in real time, without the use of traditional dyes, it says.
