Adagio Therapeutics says its adintrevimab for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19 has markedly reduced neutralizing activity *in vitro* against the omicron BA.2 variant. “Based on feedback from FDA regarding adintrevimab’s lack of neutralizing activity against the BA.2 variant,” the company [says](https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2022/04/14/2422644/0/en/Adagio-Therapeutics-Provides-Update-on-Timing-of-Adintrevimab-EUA-Request.html?ref=fdaweb.com), “Adagio is pausing the submission of an emergency use authorization (EUA) request.”

The company says it will continue engaging with the agency and will monitor the evolution of SARS-CoV-2 and the *in vitro* activity of adintrevimab against predominant variants in the U.S. to determine the optimal timing for an EUA request.
