AdvaMedDx Reviewing Lab Test Draft Bill

AdvaMedDx says it is reviewing a discussion draft of the Diagnostic Accuracy and Innovation Act being circulated in the House by Reps. Larry Bucshon (R-IN) and Diana DeGette (D-CO). The trade group says it has “long supported a modernized, risk-based approach to FDA oversight of all diagnostic tests, including laboratory-developed tests, as we believe it is imperative that patients have access to accurate and high-quality tests, regardless of where they are made.” The group expresses appreciation for Bucshon and DeGette’s efforts and says it urges Congress to act on legislation addressing longstanding diagnostic regulatory issues.
