# Alcon Recalls Systane Ultra PF Eye Drops

FDA says Alcon Laboratories issued a nationwide recall of one lot of its Systane Lubricant Eye Drops Ultra PF Single Vials On-The-Go 25 count, due to fungal contamination. An agency [statement](https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/alcon-laboratories-issues-voluntary-nationwide-recall-one-1-lot-systane-lubricant-eye-drops-ultra-pf?ref=fdaweb.com) says the company evaluated a consumer complaint of foreign material observed inside a single-use vial and determined the material to be fungal in nature.

The affected lot was distributed nationwide to retail and Internet outlets, Alcon says. The company said it had not received any reports of adverse events associated with the recall.
