# American Health Packaging Recalls Some Ranitidine for NDMA

FDA says American Health Packaging recalled 2/27 11 lots of ranitidine tablets, 150 mg, 100-count unit dose blisters due to the potential for N-Nitrosodimethylamine amounts above levels established by FDA. An agency [notice](https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/american-health-packaging-issues-voluntary-nationwide-recall-ranitidine-tablets-usp-150-mg-100-count?utm%5Fcampaign=FDA%20MedWatch%20Ranitidine%20Tablets%2C%20150%20mg%20by%20American%20Health%20Packaging&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=Eloqua#recall-announcement) says the recall was initiated in response to a recall by the manufacturer, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, which included affected lots that were repackaged by American Health Packaging.

American Health Packaging says it has not received any reports of adverse events that have been confirmed to be directly related to the recall.
