# Amneal BLA for Avastin Biosimilar Approved

FDA has approved an Amneal Pharmaceuticals BLA for bevacizumab-maly, a biosimilar referencing Genentech’s Avastin. The product will be marketed under the proprietary name Alymsys. The therapy was developed by mAbxience, a global biotech company claiming over 10 years of experience in developing and manufacturing biopharmaceuticals. The biosimilar is approved for the following indications: (**1**) treating patients with metastatic colorectal cancer in combination with fluorouracil-based chemotherapy, (**2**) first-line treatment for patients with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer, (**3**) recurrent glioblastoma, (**4**) metastatic renal cell carcinoma in combination with interferon alfa and, (**5**) persistent, recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer.
