# ArjoHuntleigh Polska Recalls Floor Lifts

ArjoHuntleigh Polska has recalled its Sara Plus floor lift following several complaints of smoke or flames coming out of the lift. If the device’s battery is low, the device’s printed circuit board may overheat, resulting in smoke or fire, a [recall notice](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/medical-device-recalls/arjohuntleigh-polska-recalls-sara-plus-floor-lift-risk-smoke-or-fire-when-lift-used-depleted-battery?ref=fdaweb.com) says. “If this situation occurs, anyone using the lift or near it could be injured, including smoke inhalation and/or burns,” it says. There have been 44 complaints about the issue and no injuries or deaths have been reported. The active floor lift is used for short transfers, such as raising patients from bed to a wheelchair or toilet.
