CDER director **Patrizia Cavazzoni** says **Don Ashley** is retiring after more than 29 years in federal service, including the last six years as director of CDER’s Office of Compliance (OC). Cavazzoni says Ashley transformed OC into a higher-performing organization with a well-defined strategic focus and wide-ranging process improvements resulting in more effective risk-based regulatory and enforcement actions.

Deputy director **Jill Furman** will be acting OC director during an agency search for a permanent director.
