# Atrovent Not Withdrawn Due to Safety/Efficacy

*Federal Register* notice: FDA has determined that Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals’ Atrovent (ipratropium bromide) metered spray 0.021 mcg and 0.042 mcg were not withdrawn from sale due to safety or effectiveness reasons. The determination means that the agency will continue to approve ANDAs that refer to the products as long as they meet relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Atrovent is indicated for the symptomatic relief of rhinorrhea associated with allergic and nonallergic perennial rhinitis in adults and children age six years and older.
