Aziyo Biologics Recalls 1 Lot of FiberCel

FDA says Aziyo Biologics has recalled one lot of its FiberCel Fiber Viable Bone Matrix following a customer complaint from one hospital that initially reported post-surgical infection in seven of the 23 patients who received FiberCel from the specified donor lot. Four of the patients tested positive for tuberculosis, an agency notice says.

The notice says the company issued a 6/2 urgent notification letter instructing customers on actions to take in response to the recall.
