# B. Braun Recalls Hemodialysis System

FDA [says](http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/Safety/ListofRecalls/ucm499127.htm?ref=fdaweb.com) B. Braun is recalling 1,033 units of its Dialog+ Hemodialysis Systems manufactured between 4/1/13 and 7/3/13, and distributed between 6/25/13 and 10/7/15\. The company says the recall is due to cracks in conductivity sensors that may allow air to enter into the dialysis fluid or dialysate used to help filter waste and other excess fluids in the blood. It says that the presence of air in dialysis fluid may lead to improper blood filtration, causing serious adverse health consequences, including death.

FDA is classifying this as a Class 1 recall.
