Bayer Recalls Lotrimin and Tinactin Products

Bayer has recalled all unexpired Lotrimin AF and Tinactin spray products (lot numbers beginning with TN, CV or NAA) due to the presence of benzene in some samples of the products. Benzene is not an ingredient in any of Bayer Consumer Health products, according to a recall notice. “Benzene is classified as a human carcinogen,” it says, adding that exposure to benzene can occur by inhalation, orally, and through the skin. Lotrimin and Tinactin spray products are over the counter antifungal products.
