Benefits of Decentralized Clinical Trials Cited

Medable, described as a patient-centered drug development cloud platform, says a Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development analysis found that, on average, decentralized clinical trials are associated with reduced clinical trial timelines and can achieve net financial benefits ranging from five to 14 times for Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials respectively. An online statement says the findings are based on financial modeling and analysis of trial data from the Tufts center, Tufts University School of Medicine, and more than 150 trials enabled by Medable software.

Findings explained in the statement are a net financial benefit, shorter clinical trial times, lower screening failure rates, and fewer protocol amendments.
