BioElectronics 510(k) for ActPatch for Musculoskeletal Pain

BioElectronics has submitted a 510(k) for ActiPatch and its over-the-counter adjunctive use in treating musculoskeletal pain. The device is currently cleared for adjunctive treatment of pain from knee osteoarthritis and plantar fasciitis. The expanded market clearance would allow for additional use for the back, neck, hip, shoulder, carpal tunnel and many other musculoskeletal complaints. The pulsed shortwave therapy device comprises low voltage digital/analog electronics that control all timing functions to produce the therapeutic radiofrequency field, the company says. An antenna is placed directly above the therapeutic site.
