Biological Product Deviation Reports Up: CBER

CBER says there were 15,010 biological product deviation reports submitted in FY 2022, a 3% increase over the FY 2021 total of 14,556 reports. The Center’s FY 22 annual summary says the total number of reporting establishments increased from 2,152 in FY 21 to 2,276 in FY 22. Compared to FY 21, it says, there were 105 more blood and source plasma establishments, 14 more manufacturers of licensed biological products other than blood and blood components, and five more human cells, tissues, and cellular- and tissue-based product manufacturers reporting in FY 22.
