Bioresearch Monitoring Violations at DBC Research

A 12/5-12/16/2022 FDA Bioresearch Monitoring Program inspection at DBC Research in Tamarac, FL, operated by Dr. Kevin Bender, looked at the protocols for three clinical trials. A 5/2 Warning Letter says Bender failed to take adequate precautions to prevent theft or diversion of an investigational drug that is subject to the Controlled Substances Act and also failed to ensure that the investigation was conducted according to the investigational plan.

The letter acknowledges the actions that Bender has taken and plans to take to address the inspection observations, but says the response is inadequate because it did not include sufficient details about his corrective action plan.

Bender was told to respond with a list of specific actions he has taken to prevent similar violations in the future.
