# Bluebird Bio Readying BLAs

Bluebird Bio says it has reached a general agreement with FDA that the clinical data package required to support a BLA submission for LentiGlobin for sickle cell disease will be based on data from a portion of patients in a study group that have already been treated. The company [says](http://investor.bluebirdbio.com/news-releases/news-release-details/bluebird-bio-reports-third-quarter-2020-financial-results-and?ref=fdaweb.com) a general agreement also has been reached on a path to transition to commercial manufacturing using an analytical comparability strategy.

The company statement also updates other BLAs it has in the pipeline.
