# CA Man Sentenced Over Unapproved Drugs

FDA says **Jeremy Brown** of Simi Valley, CA has been sentenced for introducing unapproved drugs into interstate commerce. He was sentenced to one year of supervised release and ordered to pay $100,000 in forfeiture for selling the drugs through his company, Warrior Labz SARMs and associated Web sites, according to a [release](https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/press-releases/california-man-sentenced-selling-unapproved-drugs-intent-defraud-over-internet?ref=fdaweb.com) from FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI).

Brown sold selective androgen receptor modulators, which are substances similar to anabolic steroids; unapproved versions of erectile-dysfunction drugs Viagra and Cialis; and unapproved versions of weight-loss drugs Ozempic, Wegovy, and Rybelsus, OCI says. “Brown falsely claimed on his Web sites that the drugs offered for sale were for ‘research purposes only’ and ‘not for human consumption,’” it says. “Alongside those claims, however, were claims that the drugs would provide various benefits affecting the structure and function of the human body.”

Additionally, the agency says Brown acquired the bulk of the drugs he sold from China, and he failed to verify shipping or storage conditions, nor did he use a lab to verify the contents of the drugs he received from China. He also falsely claimed on his Web sites that his company used only the highest quality pharmaceutical grade ingredients and U.S. manufacturing practices, it says.

Brown received a Warning Letter 6/2023, but he continued to sell unapproved drugs over the Internet, OCI says.
