CathVision Electrophysiology Algorithms Cleared

FDA has cleared a CathVision 510(k) for the PVI Analyzer and Signal Complexity algorithms as part of the Cardialytics suite of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered analytics integrated into the ECGenius System, an electrophysiology (EP) recording system. The AI algorithms are intended to assist in electrogram interpretation to help physicians improve ablation outcomes in complex atrial arrhythmia procedures, according to CathVision.

The pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) Analyzer is a signal-based AI algorithm capable of confirming PVI isolation status across multiple cardiac ablation modalities, the company says. The device’s Signal Complexity algorithm is intended to help physicians visualize and quantify atrial fibrillation (AF) complexity parameters in patients with persistent AF, it says.
