CBER Covid-19 International Collaboration

CBER says it has “substantially increased” its international efforts in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, including regulatory and research collaborations on Covid-19 vaccine and convalescent plasma products. An online overview report says that by “providing scientific and regulatory strategies to facilitate the development, authorization, and availability of Covid-19 vaccines and treatments, CBER contributes to the reduction and spread [sic] of Covid-19.”

The report says the Center participates in ongoing international pharmacovigilance efforts, including those organized by the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities and the World Health Organization. It outlines several of the collaborative efforts with the two organizations.
