CBER HCT/P Inspection Data Published

CBER says there were 563 human cell, tissue, and cellular and tissue product (HCT/P) inspections conducted in Fiscal Year 2019, the lowest in the period 2015-2019. The highest was 636 inspections in 2016, according to a chart released by the Center.

Of the inspections in 2019, some 440 were classified as no action indicated (five-year range 440-561); 111 were classified as voluntary action indicated (57-111) and 12 were classified as official action indicated (5-12).

The 41.3 average number of hours per inspection in FY 19 was the highest in the period, which ranged from 34.1 to 41.3.
