# CDER 2022 Drug Safety Priorities Report Out

The CDER Drug Safety 2022 Priorities Report highlights the Center’s activities involving Covid-19, the opioid crisis, drug overdoses, and efforts to improve the overall quality of compounded drugs. The [report](https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-and-availability/advances-fdas-drug-safety-programs?utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=govdelivery), the eighth in the series, also reviews the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System, Sentinel system, and the Safe Use Initiative. And it highlights communications intended to transparently communicate drug safety information to the public through several tools.

CDER director **Patrizia Cavazzoni** writes that the report “illustrates the broad range of safety efforts conducted involving multidisciplinary collaborations and highlights key achievements and milestones of this critical work…. Our many accomplishments over the past year reflect the best of CDER’s commitment to public health and safety.”
