# CDER NextGen Portal to Take Number Requests

CDER says that starting 8/19, pre-assigned NDA, IND, BLA, and DMF number requests can be submitted through the Center’s NextGen Portal. FDA made that option available for ANDAs in June, a [notice](http://s2027422842.t.en25.com/e/es?s=2027422842&e=240221&elqTrackId=376c7bc788024cd5a73d955f2e3dcbdc&elq=a319b02674dd4a6491a75dc3e7887036&elqaid=8943&elqat=1&ref=fdaweb.com) says.

The notice identifies benefits of submitting requests through the portal as ease of use, automated confirmation, and historical record.
