CDER Office of New Drugs Reorganization in Phase 2

CDER says the phased implementation of the reorganization of the Office of New Drugs is well underway, with Phase 2 implementation having started 11/4. A notice says Phase 2 will occur over several weeks and involve selecting leadership for several new divisions, including directors for the Divisions of Pharm/Tox and Regulatory Operations in the Office of Infectious Disease and Neuroscience, and the division director for regulatory operations in the Office of Oncologic Diseases.

Under Phase 1, the Office of New Drug Policy, Office of Drug Evaluation Sciences, Office of Program Operations, immediate office of the Office of Regulatory Operations, and immediate office of the Office of Administrative Operations are now operating and leadership recruitment and selection for them has been completed.
