CDRH Industry Basics Webcast

A recent CDRH Industry Basics Webcast covered Webpage and multimedia resources available for industry on a variety of CDRH topics and then gave basic information on the 513(g) request for information process and the custom device exemption process.

In the show’s first hour, CDRHer Ifearyi Uwemedimo discussed how the 513(g) process is used when industry is unsure of a device determination and classification. In the second hour, CDRHer Nathan Ivey introduced the custom device exemption program and its reporting requirements. Each segment also included a panel of Center experts who responded to viewers’ questions when the show aired.
