CDRH has updated its public Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience (MAUDE) database to improve transparency and analysis of medical device report (MDR) data. The update adds details on individual events included in summary reports for device registry exemptions in “comma-separated values” format. The update also allows for analyzing complete raw data and “aims to make more information available, including making more MDR data more easily accessible, findable, and usable to allow the public to more easily analyze events in the MAUDE database,” a [CDRH notice](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/medical-device-reporting-mdr-how-report-medical-device-problems/exemptions-variances-and-alternate-forms-adverse-event-reporting-medical-devices?utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=govdelivery) says.
