CDRH Updates Software Pre-Cert Pilot

In a 5/10 Webinar, CDRH staff updated the digital health software precertification pilot program. Center associate director for digital health Bakul Patel went over the Digital Health Action Plan and the steps in the precertification pilot. He said the Center is currently about one-third of the way into the program and hopes to launch a pre-cert 1.0 by the end of this year, with another iteration due in 2019.

Patel urged stakeholders to remain engaged with the process. He said the working model for the program will be updated every 30-45 days and there will be ongoing opportunities to provide feedback and help staff solve problems that develop.
