Center for Rare Neurological Diseases Warned on 2 Trials

A 10/18-11/5/21 FDA inspection at the Center for Rare Neurological Diseases clinical site operated by Dr. Daniel Tarquinio in Norcross, GA, found objectionable conditions in two clinical investigations. The inspection was conducted as part of the agency’s Bioresearch Monitoring Program, which helps ensure that the rights, safety, and welfare of human subjects have been protected. A 4/5 Warning Letter says Tarquinio failed to ensure that the investigation was conducted according to the investigational plan.

The agency says Tarquinio’s written response to the inspection observation was inadequate because his corrective action plan is not sufficient to prevent similar violations in the future.

Tarquinio was told to respond with a list of specific actions he has taken to prevent similar violations in the future.
