Ceribell’s ClarityPro For Detecting Seizures

FDA has cleared a Ceribell 510(k) for its new software ClarityPro for diagnosing electrographic status epilepticus (ESE) in adults. “The ability to diagnose ESE is essential to treating prolonged seizures, which may affect one-third of neurological critical care patients during their hospital stay,” the company says. “These seizures increase the risk of permanent brain injury with long-term neurological disability.”

Ceribell describes its point-of-care EEG [electroencephalogram] system as delivering real-time seizure monitoring and alerts 24/7. The software uses a machine learning model to analyze EEG signals and generate bedside alerts, it says.
