China Made Alcohol Prep Pads Recalled

Simple Diagnostics has recalled three lots of Pharmacist Choice Alcohol Prep Pads, which were manufactured by China-based Foshan Flying Medical Products, due to sterility assurance and other quality issues. Using the suspect Alcohol Prep Pads could result in adverse events such as infections, according to a recall notice. To date, the company says it has not received any adverse event reports associated with products’ use. The alcohol pads are used on skin prior to injection, as well as in first aid to reduce germs in minor cuts, scrapes and burns.
