> Thornhill Research has begin a Class 1 recall of its Moves Ventilator lithium polymer batteries because some have been found unresponsive after storage, not recognized by the main device, and perpetually enabled, according to a [recall notice](http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfRes/res.cfm?ID=142382&ref=fdaweb.com). The portable, computer-controlled transport emergency ventilator is intended to provide continuous or intermittent ventilatory support for the care of adults who require ventilation. Thornhill sent customers a recall letter instructing them to update their device software.
