*Federal Register* notice: Based on a *de novo* request, FDA has classified Timpel’s Enlight 1810 ventilatory electrical impedance tomograph into Class 2 (special controls). The agency describes the device as a prescription non-invasive, non-radiological ventilatory device that provides an assessment of local impedance variation within a cross-section of a patient’s thorax.
