# Clinical Hold on Neumora Study in Brain Diseases

FDA has placed a clinical hold on a Neumora Therapeutics Phase 1 clinical trial for NMRA-266 for treating brain diseases. NMRA-266 is described as a positive allosteric modulator of the M4 muscarinic receptor. The hold follows recently reported pre-clinical data showing convulsions in rabbits. About 30 participants have been dosed in the Phase 1 study, with no evidence of convulsions observed in any participant, according to the company, adding that it is working with FDA to “evaluate the potential to resolve the clinical hold.”
