Clinical Hold on Quantum IND

FDA has placed a clinical hold on the Quantum BioPharma IND for Lucid-21-302, the company’s drug candidate to treat multiple sclerosis. According to a Quantum statement, the hold is pending submission of additional information requested by FDA. Quantum says it is reviewing FDA’s comments and will work closely with the agency to address the matters identified in the letter.

Lucid-21-302 is described as a patented new chemical entity that has been shown in preclinical models to inhibit myelin degradation, a mechanism associated with multiple sclerosis.
