Comments Sought on Pregnancy Labeling Requirements

Federal Register notice: FDA has requested comments on an information collection extension for “Content and Format of Labeling for Human Prescription Drugs and Biological Products; Requirements for Pregnancy and Lactation Labeling.” This requires, among other things, a summary of the risks of using a drug during pregnancy and lactation and a discussion of the data supporting that summary. The labeling must also include relevant information to help health care providers make prescribing decisions and counsel women about the use of drugs during pregnancy and lactation.
