‘Complete Response’ on Adamis High-Dose Naloxone

FDA has issued Adamis Pharmaceuticals a complete response letter on its NDA for Adamis’ ZimHi (naloxone) high-dose injection for treating opioid overdose. The letter cited Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) information, the company says, adding that it plans to expand on CMC testing that has already been provided to satisfy the letter’s concerns. No other clinical safety or efficacy issues were raised, and the NDA will remain open until the CMC issues are resolved, it adds. A meeting request will be made soon to discuss the company’s plan to resubmit the NDA. Naloxone works by blocking or reversing the effects of the opioid, including extreme drowsiness, slowed breathing, or loss of consciousness, the company says.
