# Court Orders End to ‘Nano Silver’ Distribution

The New Jersey federal court has ordered Natural Solutions Foundation and its two principals to stop distributing unapproved and misbranded “nano silver” products promoted as a treatment for Covid-19\. A Department of Justice [statement](https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/district-court-orders-new-jersey-defendants-stop-distributing-unapproved-nano-silver-products?ref=fdaweb.com) says the company operated various Web sites to promote its products that purportedly contained silver particles in a solution.

The complaint, which was filed at the request of FDA, said that nano silver is not generally recognized by qualified experts as safe and effective to prevent, treat, or cure Covid-19 and the company’s claims were not supported by credible scientific evidence or studies.

The defendants had agreed to settle the 11/13/20 complaint and be bound by a consent decree of permanent injunction that permanently enjoins them from violating the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and requires that they recall the nano silver products they sold and destroy any such products in their possession.
