Curativa Bay Warning Letter on Covid Spray

FDA has sent Curativa Bay (Clearwater, FL) a Warning Letter after reviewing the company’s Web site and citing its Advanced Hypochlorous Skin Spray over misleading claims that the product is safe/effective for treating Covid-19. The company claims that applying the skin spray around the face and eyes will “provide a good extra line of protection against many things that we all fear today.” The letter said the company will be added to a published list on FDA’s Web site of firms and sites that have received Warning Letters concerning the sale or distribution of Covid-19 related products in violation of the FD&C Act. This list can be found at http://www.fda.gov/consumers/health-fraud-scams/fraudulent-coronavirus-disease-covid-19-products.
