Cutivate Not Withdrawn Due to Safety/Efficacy: FDA

Federal Register notice: FDA has determined that Fougera Pharmaceuticals’ Cutivate (fluticasone propionate) ointment, 0.005%, was not withdrawn from sale for safety or effectiveness reasons. The determination will allow FDA to continue to approve ANDAs that refer to the product as long as they meet relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Cutivate is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses in adult patients. To view the notice, click here.
