CytoDyn Seeks Fast Track for Leronlimab in Breast Cancer

CytoDyn says it is seeking fast track status for its humanized CCR5 monoclonal antibody, leronlimab (PRO 140), after it showed a significant reduction in the volume of human breast cancer tumor metastasis in a murine xenograft model. “The metastatic tumor volume was reduced by more than 98% after seven weeks,” the company says. The agency recently cleared CytoDyn’s IND application to initiate a Phase 1b/2 study for the addition of leronlimab to existing therapies for metastatic triple-negative breast cancer.
